February 12, 1932 - January 9, 2020
On January 9, 2020 we lost one of the best people - John Keresman. Born on February 12, 1932 to the small town of Thorold, Ontario John was the oldest of two children and his accolades later in life are of no surprise as he was a determined and talented child.
John served in the Royal Canadian Navy for fifteen years and it was there he met the love of his life, Marylou. John received a Minister of Veterans Affairs Commendation later in life for his commitment and service to the Royal Canadian Navy.
John is survived by his loving wife of fifty five years, Marylou Nance Keresman (née Kievill). Their marriage was a testament to all generations on how to love and support your spouse to be the best version of themselves. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Stephen and Mary, and grandchildren, Jessica (Sean), Brett, Darian, Steven, and Brian.
John poured his heart into volunteering and lived a life full of service to others. He treated everyone he met with respect and love, and no one left a conversation with him without a laugh or smile.
Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, February 6 at 1:30 pm at the Mission Legion located at 32627 Logan Avenue, Mission, BC. In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 57 in his memory.
