Ann Davison died peacefully at Menno Home in Abbotsford, BC at the age of 92. Born in Middle Musquodoboit, NS, she attended Normal College and secretarial school in Truro, NS. She married Fred Davison on September 1, 1947, supporting him through Bible school and pastorates in Ontario, Nova Scotia, Michigan, Iowa and Washington. She was known for her organizational skills and hospitality. They retired to Abbotsford in 1988. After being widowed, Ann lived in Calgary for 8 years before returning to Abbotsford. She spent the last 6 months at Menno Home, where she received attentive and compassionate care. Ann was predeceased by her husband Fred, parents Ervin and Alice (Ladd) McCurdy, sisters Helen MacKichan and Eileen Swansburg, and brother Gordon. She is survived by 3 daughters and sons-in-law, Heather Shantz (Calgary), Doug Shantz (Calgary), Beth and Marshall Davis (Montreal), Deb and Don Schuiling (Surrey), grandchildren Amy Shantz (Calgary), Jenny Shantz (Vancouver), Mary-Ann (Shantz) and James Lingwood (Edmonton), Matt and Emily Shantz (Chilliwack), Katherine (Davis) and Mike Gumpert (Ottawa), Paul and Anne Davis (Washington, DC), Allison (Davis) and Joe Choi (Toronto), Ben and Sarah Schuiling (Lake Forest Park, WA), Laura Schuiling (Surrey), Chad Schuiling (Surrey), great-grandchildren Boston and Walker Shantz, Charlotte and George Lingwood, Jack and Toby Gumpert, brother Charles, and numerous nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at 10:00 am at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 2310 Clearbrook Road, Abbotsford, followed by interment at Maclure Road Mennonite Cemetery.
