August 6, 1937 - January 26, 2022
It is with heavy hearts that we announce Lorraine passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on January 26th after a brave battle with stomach cancer.
She will be lovingly remembered by Tom, her husband of 65 years & 2 daughters Cheryl (Ed), Linda (Mike) plus daughters #3 & #4, her 3 grandchildren Carina (Billy), Jordon (Becky), Kurtis & 4 great-grandchildren Cassidy (Colton), Cash, Meliah & Carson.
Born in Lethbridge, she moved with her parents to Vancouver when she was five and met Tom in her teens. They married in 1956, started their family in North Delta & after moving a few times over the years, settled in Mission.
Both were entrepreneurs and after a partnership in the first aerosol paint business, they started a shampoo line under Prevale Cosmetics. Later on they formed Precision Labs to expand to skin care products. Tom handled the sales and Lorraine kept the books.
She loved to travel & went to many parts of the world with friends & family.
Fun filled summers were spent at Lake Errock where she was a fierce competitor at cards (always led trump!) and sun filled winters at RCB where she was active in golf, tennis, pickleball & bridge. There wasn't a Sudoku puzzle made that she couldn't solve.
She was a wonderful cook, famous for her mashed potatoes, Caesar Salad & putting butter on anything & everything (don't forget the sauce!)
She had a great life & we will all remember her infectious laugh! She will be deeply missed by family & friends.
A celebration of life will be held in the summer.
No flowers, please use the amount to donate to BC Cancer Foundation in Lorraine's memory.
