August 8, 1957 - November 27, 2023
It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of Marie Anna Petrik on November 27th, 2023, in Mission, B.C. after battling cancer. Marie was born in the Czech Republic on August 8th, 1957, but was a long-time resident of Mission for over 45 years.
She was a loving wife to Michal, devoted Mother of four boys, Michael, David, Daniel, and Kyle, and a loving Babi to her grandchildren Kaylee, Emily, and Luke.
Marie and Michal celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary in July 2023, and served as an example of true love and dedication holding each other up during the most difficult times and reveling in the very best of times.
Those who knew her well will agree that her four boys were her proudest accomplishments, and to watch them grow up to be successful, kind, and caring men was a goal that she was able to achieve before her passing. Marie was an unsurpassed friend, a social butterfly, and made her home welcoming to all as she enjoyed playing host. If you were lucky enough to be her friend, then you also became part of her family.
We welcome those who wish to celebrate Marie's 66 years of life to the River Room at the Best Western Hotel, 32281 Lougheed Hwy, Mission, BC on January 27th, 2024, at 1:00 pm. The family encourages those in attendance to don a splash of Marie's favourite color, pink.
