Marion was born in Chilliwack and moved to Dewdney in her high school years where she met David Buker. They married the day before she turned 19 and were married 70 years. They made their first home in Dewdney, moving first to Hatzic where they raised their 5 daughters, and then later to Mission as empty nesters. Marion was involved in her community, receiving a lifetime service award from Mission. She was a Brownie leader for several years and later a member of the hospital auxiliary, senior's bridge and the lawn bowling club. She had a quick wit, was an avid card player, and will be remembered for her pies and cakes. Before Dave retired she managed to fit painting into her busy schedule. Once he retired they became world travellers and with their group of friends spent months at lakes searching for the best fishing hole.
Predeceased by Dave, Marion is survived by her brother Frank (Maryann) Federici; her daughters Bev Webster, Cathy (Brian) Fichter, Nancy (Doug) Hanna, Norma (Mark) Clark, and Connie (Brent) Buker; 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the amazing caregivers at Jackman Manor of Aldergrove for taking such good care of her.
Service planned for the spring.
