It is with great sadness that the family of Marjory Wilson Jackson (nee Anderson) announces her passing on December 31, 2020 at the age of 91 in Campbell River.
She is survived by her daughter, Alison Dewhurst; grandson Kyle Richings, his wife Amy and son Justin; and daughter-in-law Beverly Richings.
Marjory was born in Olrig, Scotland and spent her early years with her family in Castletown, Caithness, Scotland. She would tell lots of wonderful stories of time spent with her siblings; Anne, Ira, George and Sandie and her parents Reni and Alec.
She left home at an early age to start a career in nursing in England where she met her first husband Frank J. Richings and started her family. She had two children: Frank Alexander Richings (passed in 2018) and Alison Stephanie Richings. She immigrated to Canada in 1957 and lived for many years in Burnaby.
She started a new life with second husband, Fred H. Jackson (passed in 2003) and lived a wonderfully contented life in Mission, BC for many years.
Marjory was known for her zest for life and love of a good laugh and a party. She was loved in her community and had a nickname of "Magic Jackson." Fred and her were known for hosting many a musical party that would carry on to the wee hours of the morning. She will be missed by all those that shared time with her.
She was laid to rest by her late husband Fred's side on January 8th at the Hatzic Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held when allowed.
