LETTER: Kudos to hockey volunteers

As we were watching our sons play their last few minor hockey games ...

As we were watching our sons play their last few minor hockey games at the BC midget Tier Two provincials recently, many of us parents were sad to see this stage of our lives come to an end.

Many people have devoted hours and hours so that kids could have the chance to learn life lessons like perseverance, respect, and discipline, and to develop hockey skills, friendships, and life-long memories.

Coaches, managers, treasurers, scoresheet and score clock volunteers, etc., along with the usually unseen but hardworking and dedicated executive, have made this possible.

We would like to thank all the volunteers who have made it possible for our son to play 12 great years of hockey here in Mission.

Don and Heather MacDonald
