While shopping yesterday at a large supermarket, I was asked to donate $2 to a kids' breakfast program.
This is a sore issue with me as I cannot believe there are parents who cannot afford a bag of rolled oats. However, there are numerous parents who cannot get out of bed in the morning to make breakfast for their children.
I would happily donate a bag of rolled oats to a program that teaches parents how to make porridge, a good solid breakfast that fed many Scotsmen going to battle.
Teach a fisherman to fish and he will never go hungry.
