I am a resident of Pleasant View Apartments in Mission. This building is operated by Pleasant View Housing Society with rents subsidized by B.C. Housing.
We are currently in the process of having all the doors in our suites removed and replaced by new ones, for a total of about 300 for the entire building. Our doors are in perfectly good condition and the only difference between old and new is that of colour.
Personally, I cannot think of a more frivolous waste of money, especially considering that we have tenants with more pressing concerns regarding the livability of their apartments.
