School grounds being poorly treated

I live around West Heights elementary school, and I am amazed at the ignorance of people in general and dog owners in particular when it comes to the use of the school grounds, especially now the day light hours are getting longer.

Not only do the kids in the school dump their lunch wrappers on the ground when bins are provided, but we have had a television and computer dumped at the side entrance.

People continue to use the playing field as a dog park, and do not clean up after them. There is even a woman who drives her two dogs to the school in a red Ford Explorer every day to exercise them.

Then we have the kids on unlicenced off-road motorcycles who ride around the streets, normally in the dark or early hours, and through the school grounds – ripping up the playing field – very clever, until someone gets hit, or hits them in the dark.

Does it take that much to consider others before yourself? Obviously!

School grounds are not a dog toilet or a motocross track!
