Editor, The Record:
To those that complain about the raceway, you really need to suck it up.
Although I have nothing to do with the track, I am thankful that it is in our community and am pretty confident that it helps increase money spent here.
I'm sure there are plenty of people that would never come to Mission if it wasn't for the track. (I know because almost all my relatives cite it's too far as a reason for why I must go visit them and not the other way around).
Dollars are spent on food and beverages, at the auto-parts stores, for lodging and other things. We really need this cash injection in our community especially when so many of us often have to spend our money in other communities for the things we need/desire.
What's the problem with the noise anyway? It's far enough away from the majority of homes, it's usually only on the weekend and the noise doesn't go on all night long. There are other problems in Mission to complain about. This is not one of them.
