Soft snow contributed to about a dozen falls on the first slalom runs this morning at Hemlock Resort near Mission, where more than 100 young alpine skiers are at the hill today to compete in the BC Winter Games.
The morning runs were the first of two runs, with the times to be combined at the end of the day.
Hemlock received 31 cm of new snow in the last 48 hours, with 286 cm at the alpine base.
Official results from today's alpine event will not be made available until after the second set of runs this afternoon.
