Boxer Cody Brown edged Kamloops’ Nikko Ippolito by two points to earn a win in Mission Saturday night.
The 14-year-old Canadian champion fighter put together tight combinations and employed solid defense to score the win, and earn fight of the night honours.
Mission City Boxing Club hosted eight bouts last weekend at their London Avenue facility, with the first fight pitting Mission’s Tyson Volker against Justis McKay-Topley. Volker lost the three round decision fight.
Eighteen-year-old Sean McIntosh came out swinging and laid waste to Kamloops’ Josh Slager.
