The Mission Marauders FC have won the big one.
Mission won the Division 2 Cup in the Abbotsford Men's Soccer League (AMSL) on Saturday by defeating Devilwire FC 3-2 in the grand final at Exhibition Park in Abbotsford.
The Marauders came out on top with a pair of goals from Victor Mills and one goal from a top corner free kick taken about 30 yards out by Connor Pickering.
The scoring was back and forth with the Mission side's third and winning goal being scored late in the 80th minute by Mills to carry his team to their first ever cup victory.
Mills was given the game MVP for his efforts. The win ends the winter season for the AMSL. Mission had a solid regular season, placing third in their division and posting a record of 12 wins, five losses and three ties. The Marauders qualified for the championship games with a 4-0 win over the SE Math Warriors on March 19.
