Seven Mission soccer players will be heading to Richmond this weekend for the B.C. Coastal Cup, playing on the West Coast Selects team.

Coach Jason Symons said the team has been undefeated in 14 games, and has already clinched a spot in the provincials which will take place in Langley in July.

Mission’s Philip Mayfield, Ethan Symons, Ryan Harvey, Brett Selbie, Kyle Clifford, Connor Haig and Bryce MacKenzie are members of the 15-player U13 A Cup team that has been outworking their competition all season long.

The players all have a strong work ethic, which they use to wear teams down through a combination of good defense and scoring ability, said Symons.

This elite level of competition comprises players from the Fraser Valley and Lower Mainland.
