Races are just beginning at Hemlock Resort near Mission, as part of the BC Winter Games.
More than 100 alpine skiers will compete in the giant slalom today and about 50 freestyle skiers will compete in slopestyle. Participants have traveled with their teams from communities across the province.
Hemlock is reporting 10 cm of new snow in the last 24 hours, and light snow is continuing to fall on the courses.
Both freestyle and alpine skiers will race twice today, with combined scores from each race determining the winners.
