It’s not usual for a math blogger, futurist and food activist to have much in common, but for one week in April, experts in a variety of fields will host 10-minute talks on how people can collectively thrive in a world full of change.
This year’s TED2017 conference in Vancouver is about exploring "the future you."
The four days of seminars will include talks by tennis pro Serena Williams, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and president of the World Bank Group Jim Yong Kim.
Each speaker will have about 10 minutes to speak, broken up into sessions that range from "our robotic overlords" to "health, life, love."
Ticket are already sold out, but sessions on April 24 and 25 will be broadcast live at movie theatres across the Lower Mainland.
