Mission resident responds to letter about dog walkers

This proposed council action absolutely stuns me. Has the public lost any sense of self-education?

I am writing in response to the story Mission hospital technologists being forced to relocate due to staffing shortages, May 27, and to acknowledge concerns and provide clarity about efforts to manage the current technologist shortage in medical imaging across the province, and in the eastern Fraser Valley, specifically.

On June 4, during the March for Recognition of Residential Schools, there was an alleged incident, whereupon a local resident took it upon himself to drive through the crowd, hitting four people and causing minor injuries.

Why has there been scant to no information on two major issues of concern in my neighborhood?

The Leisure Centre started – as I remember – with a 50% underestimate of how much it would cost to enlarge it from the original building, as put forward in the original proposal presented to the taxpayers of Mission. I think it was estimated to cost $14 million, and it turned out to be $21 million.

I read the Mission City Record story of October 23 with some dismay regarding container ban may end.

Where are the people who care about staying healthy?
