While Maple Ridge is slated to host the 2024 BC Summer Games this July, Mission will also welcome athletes.

Mission will provide support to Maple Ridge and help host lacrosse events for the upcoming games.

Cam Neely Arena at Planet Ice Maple Ridge will be the primary venue for games, while Mission Leisure Centre will be the secondary venue.

The Maple Ridge location will be used Thursday (July 18) through Sunday (July 21) and the Leisure Centre will be used on Saturday (July 20) and Sunday when more game times are needed than what a single venue can provide.

BC Summer Games marketing director David Conlin says the City of Mission has been great to work with through the process.

The Summer Games are scheduled to take place from July 17 to 21.
