Mission/Valley Under-12 girls win provincial silver medal in field lacrosse

The Mission/Valley 1 Under-12 girls lacrosse team won silver medals at the BC Lacrosse Association field lacrosse provinial championship.

The team was awarded silver after an 8-7 loss to Langley in the championship game at Golden Ears/Arthur Peak Field in Maple Ridge on Feb. 12.

The Mission/Valley 1 squad opened the provincial championships with a 5-3 win over their Mission/Valley 2 counterparts before notching a 9-6 win over Nanaimo on Feb. 10, and a 8-5 win over Surrey on Feb. 11.

The Mission Mud Dawgs and Valley Attack merged for the 2022-23 Field Lacrosse season in an attempt to keep players local instead of being released to other communities.
